MIST Harlem, based in Harlem, New York, was infused with a vibrant dose of African culture, entertainment and community at the African Pop-Up Festival in celebration of Black History Month. Harlem's premier entertainment venue was filled with an array of cultural textiles, contemporary African-inspired fashions, the aromas of staple continental dishes, and energy-packed live performances by rising artists of the diaspora.
Whether attendees were looking to experience a diverse taste of African culture, connect with great company, support black artists like Mr Bello and Teemanay, or black-owned businesses such as Vai Girl, For the Culture and The Great American Hat Show, the festival had much to offer. Event-goers embraced every bit of the occasion as it extended well into the evening.
